How is TigerVault Cloud Backup different from traditional backups?

Do I need a Fast Internet Connection?
No. TigerVault uses special detection methods to identify just the pieces of information that have changed since your last backup and just backs up those over your current broadband connection. Even a very large database file (e.g. 10GB) can be backed up each day in just a few minutes over standard ADSL broadband.
Are there any limitations to what I can backup?
No, so long as the files are legal and owned by you, you can select, files, emails, pictures, music, databases, encrypted files, compressed files and more. Your data is encrypted and stored offsite in unreadable deltas so it is independant of file types.
What happens if I lose my Encryption key?
We do not store any clients passwords or encryption keys in the Cloud. During the Installation and Account setup process you will create these yourself. They are then stored locally within your copy of TigerVault ONLY. We have no knowledge of these and should you forget and/or remove the software, you will not be able to restore any Data from your backups.
Where are my Cloud Backups stored?
TigerVault utilises state of the art data centers, employing multiple enviromental, physical and cyberspace security methods. Each data center has inbuilt resiliance to failure and data loss that provides uptimes in excess of 99.9%
How long are my Cloud Backups kept?
By default your data is never deleted and will always be available in the future.
Deleted of over-written data is by default retained for 7 days and is available to restore within that time. You may increase this to a maximum of 365 days.
Can I install it on all of my computers?
Yes, you can install TigerVault on as many computers as you wish.
Will it slow down my computer?
No, TigerVault works dynamically with other applications and should not slow down your computer even when running. The client software does not need to be installed on the computer/s being backup up as long as it has sufficient access.
What happens if the connection is interrupted?
The backup will automatically retry to backup the remaining files. Should this not be possible, it will pickup where it left off next time it is scheduled to run.
I have lost my password. Can I retrieve it?
No, we do not keep any passwords and so we are unable to provide a retrieval method. This is to ensure absolute security of your data.
Is it available for Linux and Mac?
Yes, TigerVault is available for both Linux and Mac Operating Systems. You simply chose which OS you want when you downlaod the client software.
Is there an iPhone or iPad App?
TigerVault is accessible on your iPhone and iPad via the Safari browser. In fact TigerVault is accessible from any device with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
How do I uninstall Tigervault?
Simply remove the small client application using the standard methods i.e. Windows - Use Add & Remove Programs
How do I delete my Data?
Just login to your account remove/delete your data.
